How can I make friends (sorry its kinda long!)?

OK , so when my parents divorced ( they divorced about 5 years ago) we moved and so I lost most of my friends . The ones i stayed in touch with became mean to me and just were not in to the same thing i was in to ( im in to sports , snowboarding , skateboarding, ect…) , so we just stopped talking.
anyways when we left I made friends in elementry school but when I went in to middle school they went to diffrent schools. and I never made friends in middle school, so then I was put in independent study ( its kinda like home school) because well its easier and I get a better education ( believe it or not . lol), but the only thing is there is no way for me to make friends. so i could go to high school ,but now i found out we might be moving within a year. so I could make friends but then i would loose them if we move so im totally stuck!

Tips for friends at boarding school?

I am going to a girls boarding school next year for years 11 and 12.Does anyone have any tips on how to make friends quickly? I **** the thought of being alone at a palce where I am going to be spending all my time.Thanks for any answers.

My asian friends in school feel strange from other local students; is it because of Virginia Tech shooting?

We are not from South Korean; and we are friendly people not like the shooter. Asian people look alike, but we are different.
Please don’t blame the shooting on us.
Lots of my friends are packing and ready to fly home to avoid the aftermath effect on asian people in US.
Yes, this is a lesson for me; I decided to stay in here and be more educated about this society.

2 of my friends at school keep stealing my backpack and I am tired of it. What do I do to make him stop?

I have talked to them and told them to stop. It has been months and they try to steal it every day, but sometimes I hide it in a place they don’t know of. Sometimes, though, they follow me and know where it is and steal it anyways. They think it’s so funny. What should I do to make them stop forever???

How do I survive and make friends in High School?

I am going to start High School in a few weeks and I am super stressed. I am not worried at all about how well I will do academically, I am worried about how well I will do socially. The friends I have now are fine, but it seems like we will be in different cliques in High School, so I was wondering how is the best possible way to make new friends in high school that doesn’t require making a fool out of myself. I had an awesome friend in Middle School/Junior High that moved away, so I don’t have his support anymore and my other close friends will probably be of different Social/Ethnicity Cliques in High School. So I have a few questions I hope you can help me with.
1) How do I make new friends in High School? (People I WANT to hang out with) (I don’t want to be lost socially in High School) (P.S. - I am a boy and am kinda shy)
2) I want to join the soccer team. For those of you who have played Freshman Soccer, any tips on what the coaches look for?

What does this dream I had last night mean?

I dreamt I was following a guy in a school and he looked behind him, saw me and then tryed to run and hide from me but I saw that he ran to the elevater down another hall. Then he was at my house as if we were friends and I said “At school we happened tobe walking in the same direction and you seemed to be trying to run away from me and then he gave me the look that says “huh” and that’s when the dream ended.

I have a group of friends. We have been friends since like fourth grade and we still talk. We have all had are problems with one or the other. But then it come down to it we are there for them. I was talking to a few co worker and they think it is weird that we are still close after all these years. we are going on being out of school for 10 years and we still talk on the phone like all most every day. and visit everytime we get a chance. We are all married and two out of the four of us have kids. I was just wondering if there were any one else that had close friends that after all the years still have things in common?
