What are the different PRACTICES of christian and catholic and why?

Ive read alot of your Q&A about the differences but none of them seem to answer the question of practices and why. Like why do I have to tell my sins to a priest or light a match? Christians talk straight to god. Why do Catholics baptize babies? Their not sinners. And..to be BAPTIZED you have to be burried not sprinkled or dabbed on the forehead. And why MUST children be raised catholic just because their parents or parent is catholic? Why is there catholic schools that cost so much? If it was in gods doing…would he charge you for something? I think not! And why is the “Priest” also known as “The Father”? To my knowledge there is only 1 “father”…in heaven! For these and other reasons I believe that catholics are wrong…I’m not saying its wrong to get to god if thats what you believe, but its wrong to make people believe in false teachings and scriptures. I would love to hear any feedback on this…wether you agree or disagree? thanks
Thank you for all your answers! I cant say any of them are best because most of them offer so much great info. I dont know if Christians and Catholics are the same (alot of people claim that they are different)…but those of you who know what I am talking about gave the best answer. Again, thank you for all the wonderful and not so wonderful answers.
I have read that part of the Catholic scriptures where written by man and Christians scripture are all from god with no manly interpetations. Thats part of the reason this question is up here. Anyways thank you all and still waiting for more posts…thank you

Is there a C++ God in the house? General question.tree ADT’s.and.about inheritance I think?

Lets say I’m creating a tree ADT composed of nodes.

struct TreeNode{
int data;

~virtual TreeNode() {} = 0;
}

struct TreeNodeData{

virtual ~TreeNodeData(){};
}

struct TreeNodeContainer[

TreeNode* leftChild;
TreeNode* rightChild;
virtual ~TreeNodeContainer();
}

class MyTree{

public:

some methods about adding nodes

private:

TreeNodeContainer rootnode;

};

I understand that all of the structs will contain int data, because it is part of the base class correct??

So, say i was building a binary tree, where I don’t know if a node is going to have children or not when it is created…….what would be the purpose of having a pure data node that can’t have children??…..I’m in college and my teacher didn’t explain this chapter to well because its summer school and we are crammed for time…

If none of that makes sense, can someone please explain why we need virtual functions? In the example I gave, is declaring TreeNode x illegal because it is the base class? is it the base?
What is doing something like this called?? Is it sort of a sub class??? Is this one of the ways C++ supports generics???

I’m sorry this is such a bad question i really dont know what i am trying to ask.

What is the point of creating different versions of the same struct and having virtual functions??? Can someone give me an example of when i would do something like this? I am trying to create a tree ADT to store XML…would it make sence to have a pure data node for this???

If someone can understand what I am trying to ask they are a C++ God…..lol

I work at an after school program with first graders and?

lately they’ve been bringing up God and if you don’t go to church you don’t believe in God. A girl came up to me and asked if it was right that we’re all of “God’s children”. I’m an atheist so I responded with something trying to change the subject but she yelled at my back “Because you don’t believe in God!” How do I handle these situations? My mom said to just try and change the subject but its not working. What should I do?

I believe in God but quit going to church?

I believe and God and i’m saved. I pray to him everynight. I quit going to church when I was around 11 or 12.. I did go to a christian school when I was in the 8th grade. I quit going because I was failing cause I wasn’t doing the work right when I thought that’s how you were supposed to do it. I loved going to it. I don’t read the bible but I do own one… I feel like i’m letting God down by not going to church…

What’s so bad about dating in 6th grade?

I’m going into 6th grade and well there’s nothing wrong with having a boyfriend when you’re like 10/11/12. It’s not like we’re gonna kiss or have *** or actually go on, like, a date cause if you’re dating it just means that you’re boyfriend and girlfriend and you hang out at school and call each other and stuff. So what’s the big deal? My friends have been dating people like all through elementry school. And don’t just say ‘you don’t know what love is’ because i may not be love can just be you really love someone for themselves not that you’d die for them and suffer all the pain in the world for them like not to get a paper cut lol because people say that. [god!] Oh and how should I address the ‘i’m going into middle school this fall and things will be changing’ talk with my mom…?

P.S-at my school middle school is sixth through eight grade cause our school is K-8 so yeah……
MY FRIEND KISSED A GUY AT 10 YEARS OLD UNDER THE POOL ON THE LIPS BUT JUST A LITTLE 1-2 SECOND ONE
I GET STRAIGHT A’S IN SCHOOL AND PLUS I HAD A BF IN 4-5 GRADE IT DIDN’T DO ANY HARM! WELL EVENTUALLY HE BROKE UP WITH ME CAUSE HE HAD A CRUSH ON THIS OTHER GIRL BUT I GOT OVER IT AFTER A WHILE AND KNOW HE’S MY BGF!
