i am going crazy with this bus schedule, plus i am going to have a baby at the end of the winter. so i was wondering if anyone out there could give me some info on home schooling. my daughter is only in kindergarten but it would be so much easier if i was able to home-school her. i live in west virginia and i was wondering if there was anything special i needed to know or how to do it, where i could even start to go about this! thank you SO much.

Liberty University Online Homeschooling Question?

They told me that the Liberty Univ. Online is the same cariculem as Alpha and Ommega’s Switched on schoolhouse. Is it the EXACT same? Or is it different? Is it on the internet or is it like a program? Please help! These questions are driving me crazy!

Does anyone use United Streaming for homeschooling?

I am wondering if anyone else uses United Streaming for homeschooling purposes. If you do, how do you use it? I have a 12 year old daughter and a 14 year old daughter, and we usually do the following for each video.
- watch the video completely with a quiz sheet to be filled out during the video
- a disucssion after the video
- one or two worksheets afterwards
- a test given a few days after to reinforce knowledge

How do I go about getting the info. and materials to homeschool a preschooler?

I think I can do just as good of a job teaching my daughter the neccessities, without the hassel of transportation, costs, and an overwhelmed preschool teacher with too many kids to take care of….how do I go about homeschooling?
She is TWO now, and is learning abc’s, 123, spell her name, and to use the computer….baby keyboard and games….
everyone keeps saying “get kids in to preschool by age three now-they have to keep up in the world….” and I think thats too young

Homeschooling Record Keeping in Illinois?

I want to know what record keeping methods other homeschoolers use. I live in Illinois and although record keeping is not mandated, I want to start record keeping. Do you keep attendance records and grades? I want to unschool mostly so how do i keep records for that? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
