High School blues?

Okay, so my first year of high school is coming up soon. I really want to get involved and was thinking about cheering or joining the swim team. I’ve never cheered before but i watch one tree hill and it seems like so much fun. But I also love to swim and my mom says being on the swim team for four years would look good to colleges. See, I would do both but they’re both winter sports and my high school has this thing where you can only do one sport per season. So what do you think is the better pick? I want to be looked at differently then how I was in middle school. I was always known as the quiet, smart girl..not the kind you really date either..so what do I choose?

school and self harming?

yesterday i told my mom i self harm. after i told her she took me to the hospital and there staff did what ever they do. but back to my question well my mom went up to my school today to tell them i self harm so im jus wondering what is my school is going to do when i go back

The world of home school?

In my Ethics class (udergraduate extra credit), the question that was posed was “does home schooling teach children about the world or does it protect them from it”.

what are private schools like?

kk. so my mom said she wants to put me in a private school when i get into high school because she doesn’t like the high school that i’m supposed to go too. But i wanted to know, what are they like? do they have unforms, etc.

I,ve been looking for schools with good archaeology. I’ve found a lot but there not really what I’m looking for. I’m thinking Oxford, but my mom want’s me state bound, and I would prefer a christian college.

Help! i might be fighting in school soon?

ok first of all let me tell you that there is this kid in my school that i **** soooooo damn freakin much. i **** him because he’s a show off and he started some beef with me. he threw a ball at my head for some damn reason. then i push him then he wanted to fight me but i walk away because i don’t want to get in trouble. kids in my school thinks i’m a geek (sort of) and a ***** because my mom makes me wear uniform clothes. but i’m not. i know how to fight cause i learn martial arts and i learn some crazy ufc fighting style. but i never want to fight cause i have very good grades and every teacher likes me as a student. i also lift up weights. but the kid who is messing with me i can tell that he also learn some techniques of his own. he also lift weights, he’s stronger than me but strength don’t matter, it matters how you fight. i **** it when people underestimate me. my mom would kill me if i fight in school. so what should i do if he mess with me again! trust me i know how to fight!
also if anyone who is answering this and live in lowell,ma i go to school in lowell,ma i’m in the 7th grade.

Can my mom make me wear my school uniform until all my homeowrk is finished?

Well my mom has this new rule. When I get home, I cannot change out of my school uniform (Mon.-Thurs.) until all my homework is completed. Studying for tests do not count, but if I get a C+ or lower, I have to wear my school uniform all day Friday after school. I’m not even allowed to untuck my shirt when I get home. As for the weekends, Friday I can change when I get home (unless I got a C+ or lower). Saturday, I can wear whatever I want. But Sunday, after 8:00 AM Mass, I have to change into my school uniform and stay in it until all my homework is completed. I’m free to do any work on Friday and Saturday, but I’m usually busy those days. And since I’m in honors classes, and since it’s a Catholic school, I’m get so much homework every night, especially on the weekends. So is this fair for me?

I was reading an article the other day about teachers protesting to have the criminal background check done on them.
7 CommentsWhy is it a big deal? What do you have to hide? If you have been convicted of past child pornography charges, then you sure as hell better not be in the same room as my child!
As a mom of an 8 yr old, a 2 yr old and one on the way, I would be very happy knowing that I have my children being taught by someone I definitely know I can trust

I need to stop eating?

My parents are always screaming at me that I’m such a fat *** and I’m such a cow ect. ect. None of that diet crap worked for me, eating less junk and working out more actually made me GAIN, and eat-nothing-cooked-and-drink-a-ton-of-water made me bloat. So, I’ve decided that if I cut my calorie intake COMPLETELY, I will lose some weight. No, I’m not becomeing anorexic, I’m just gonna do this ’till I lose 40 lbs. One prob: my mom can’t find out I’m not eating, and neither can my dad. How do I do this?
