Public or Private schools?

I have a four year old son who will be ready to start school soon. I will be teaching at a private school in the fall, so he has the option of going there for free. But I’m still having trouble making the decision. As far as academics, the private school will be better. But I also want him to be exposed to all kinds of people - including the ones who don’t have parents who care enough to make them do their homework and go to school. I figure if he’s not learning what he should, I can always make up for it at home. But I can also help him make up for any social losses in a private school by taking him with me to do volunteer work. So I’m at a loss to decide which school to put him in. Public or Private? And why?
I strongly believe that religion should be taught by the family, not the schools. So he won’t be going to a christian school in either case.

Why is the UK planning to get rid of Grammar schools and the 11+?
It seems stupid to me. Grammar schools are free schools that more intelligent children can go to to get a better education. If they went to a normal school, they almost certainly wouldn’t do as well and may get bullied for their intelligent.
Should the Government try to close Private Schools, if any?
They obviously give a better education on whether you are rich or not.
So why should Grammar schools be closed?

i go to a private school..no big deal..
like im not the people who will go round saying OMG she is so fugly she goes to a state school..hoow descusting!NNOOO way! i accept that there are poorer and richer aeras in the world ( not saying im rich) but see i think that in ireland anyway like you know the national school people would be aressive and mean to people who go to private schools when ever my school goes to sing in a communion st.kevins a ntnol school wud b all like wud ye luk at da stat of em..r3tardz nd all!.i think that they just dont get brought up right//thats my opinion so pleaase dun get anoyed if i hurt u oin anyway..

i wanted to know your opinions on public vs. private schools.

i didnt mind going there until about 5th grade.
now that i am a junior in high school i absolutely **** it!
i have never got all A’s and B’s or even all A’s.
ever since 6th grade i have been border line failing every year.
i had to go to summer school freshman and sophomore year.
so basically i was wondering which one is easier? people who have attended both public and private schools please help!

I know that because some private schools dont require a teaching credential as well as the lack of funds for salaries that it is less than a public school teacher but i wanted to get a estimate.

For example, can the government mandate a certain curriculum in private schools?
So, if it ever became a law to teach comprehensive *** education, private schools would have to comply as well as public or would the bill have to specify where it could be taught? Thanks for the answers so far.

A top selective school or a top private school?

while selective schools value academic excellence, private schools teach values.
Would you choose to go to a top private school if you’re granted scholarship or would you go to a top selective school.

Do private schools have a higher rate of their students going to college?

I am doing a speech on why I think that private schools would be better to go to then public. I do understand that some public schools are wonderful and I go to one at the moment but I would like to know this so if it is true I can point it out in class.
If you could help me out that would be great. Just an average number if at all possible. Thanks for any help and please put your sourses!

You have to be self-motivated. They are considered private schools or charter schools. They are ligit schools. What are they called? Any more info is welcome.
